Reference numeral 6 in FIG. 2 is a slurry of raw material rock wool, and this slurry 6 is filtered by a paper-making machine 7 and continuously sent out as an undried paper-made rock wool layer 1. This undried paper-made rock wool layer 1 is conveyed below the wool hopper 8, and the rock wool grains 2, which are made by condensing the rock wool fibers in the wool hopper 8, are dropped onto the undried paper-made rock wool layer 1 to form rock. Cotton grains 2 are sprinkled on the undried paper-made rock wool layer 1. Next, a binder 4 such as melamine resin, phenol resin, or starch is sprayed onto the rock wool grains 2 by a binder sprayer 9 to form an undried paper-formed rock wool layer 1.
and rock wool grains 2 are adhered to form a rock wool board base material 5. This rock wool board base material 5 is further passed through a thickening device 10 such as a hot press to have a constant thickness, and then sent to a hot air dryer 11.
The rock wool board 12 is formed by drying at a temperature of 180° C. to 250° C. for 2 hours. What is shown in FIG. 1 is a rock wool board 12 manufactured in this manner, which has been appropriately cut, and is made of granular rock wool in which rock wool grains 2 are aggregated on a rock wool layer 1 that has been formed into a sheet. The layers 3 are stacked, and the rock wool grains 2 and the rock wool grains 2 and the paper-made rock wool layer 1 are connected by a binder 4.

In addition, the surface of the granular rock wool layer is lightly uneven and has excellent sound absorption properties, and the back side is formed smoothly by the paper-made rock wool layer, making it easy to blend in with the edge of the board when installing the rock wool board on the ceiling. It has the advantage that it has good workability, and the paper-made rock wool layer provides the strength of a rock wool board. Furthermore, compared to conventional paper forming methods, it has the advantage that the surface of the rock wool board can be formed sparsely, resulting in a lighter product. That is, the limit of density in the case of the conventional paper forming method is 0.3 gr/cm 2 , but with the rock wool board of the present invention, the density can be lowered to 0.2 gr/cm 2 or less. In addition, in the method for producing a rock wool board of the present invention, rock wool grains are scattered on the upper surface of the paper-made rock wool layer,
After this, a binder is sprayed on the rock wool grains to form a rock wool board base material, and this rock wool board base material is dried, which has the advantage that rock wool boards with excellent characteristics can be easily manufactured. . Furthermore, the rock wool board manufacturing apparatus of the present invention includes a paper making machine that filters a slurry of raw material rock wool and sends out a paper-made rock wool layer, and a wool hopper that drops and scatters rock wool grains on the top surface of the paper-made rock wool layer. a binder sprayer for spraying binder onto rock wool grains;
Equipped with a hot-press-like thickening device that equalizes the thickness of the rock wool board base material, and a hot air dryer that dries the rock wool board base material, there is no need to carry out the process of manufacturing rock wool boards separately. , which has the advantage of being able to be carried out continuously in a series of steps.
