Abstract
PURPOSE: To indicate the reversible adsorption-desorption reaction of oxygen in a short time by changing salcomine to a high polymer cobalt complex by bonding the salcomine to a basic high polymer. CONSTITUTION: A film of a high polymer amine-cobalt complex obtained through the reaction between N,N'disalicylideneethylenediaminatocobalt (II) and a basic high polymer is formed on a thermoplastic plastic film substrate A and a thermoplastic coating layer B is formed on the film of the complex. At least either one of the substrate A and layer B substantially has oxygen permeability and at least either one of the substrate A and layer B is substantially transparent. The complex exhibits an yellowish orange color when no oxygen is bonded to the complex, but as oxygen is bonded to the complex, the color gradually changes to a black purple color through a pale purple color. Therefore, the reversible adsorption-desorption reaction of oxygen can be indicated in a short time.
