Abstract
PURPOSE:To feed a head with high accuracy by providing a magnetic force generating means at the engaging position of a recording/reproducing head and lead screw or at the vicinity and preventing the engagement chattering and vibration of the head by a magnetic force. CONSTITUTION:When a current is passed to a pulse motor 28, a lead screw 22 is turned and the steel ball 23 engaged with a screw groove is moved along the screw groove. At this time, since the linear guide mechanism consisting of a guide bar 21, sliding guide 20a and sliding sheet 20b is movable in A-A' direction only the steel ball 23 is moved with its linear movement in the A-A' direction. An optical head 20 is therefore moved in the A-A' direction via a supporting member 24 and elastic member 25. The steel ball 23 engaged with a screw groove is pressed by the magnetic attraction force of a permanent magnet 24a and the lead screw 22 between the conical recessed part provided on the sliding member 24c composing the member 24 and a V shaped screw groove and held in the state of no gap. On the other hand, the space between the sheet 20b and guide bar 21 is engaged without any gap by the magnetic attraction force of the guide 20a and hide bar 21.
