Abstract

PURPOSE:To use a lid body as an original platen by providing the lid body on the top surface of a main body cover so as to be freely opened/closed to cover an original insertion inlet and a console panel. CONSTITUTION:The lid part 10 to cover the original insertion inlet 6 and the console panel 5 is provided so as to be freely opened /closed on the top surface of the main body cover 1. An original is placed on the back face of the lid body 10 and paper is fed into the inlet 6. In such a way, the lid part can be used as the original platen, hence an another original platen does not need to be provided on top of the main body cover in a manner that it protudes upward or horizontally, therefore, the space necessary for the installation of the equipment can be limited to the minimum. Furthermore, since dusts or trashes can be prevented from entering into the main body cover 1 from the original insertion inlet 6, the malfanction of the equipment can be prevented, and further, the oblique advancing of an original can be prevented by providing an original guide 13 on the back face of the lid part 10.
