Abstract

PURPOSE: To accurately hold model information without sampling and quantizing it and to accelerate developing speed of the model information, by comparing a three-dimensional reproducing image as a hologram with the input image of an object.
CONSTITUTION: The three-dimensional reproducing image 4 is formed by reproducing the three-dimensional information of a model held as the hologram 2, and the reproducing image 4 is compared with the input image of the object. In such a case, the hologram 2 is fixed on a three-dimensional stage 8, and it is moved by driving a driving part 10. Thereby, the reproducing image 4 can be formed at an arbitrary position. Also, input light from the object is set as the input image 6 via an objective lens 12, and the input image 6 and the three-dimensional reproducing image held by the hologram 2 are image picked up on the image pickup plane of a camera 14, then, matching between the model and the object is performed.
