Abstract

PURPOSE:To project a light beam on plural positions even when the cost of an image recorder is reduced by decreasing the number of its components by setting the reflecting surface of a rotary mirror which deflects the light beam at an angle tilting about 45 deg. to the rotary shaft of the rotary mirror. CONSTITUTION:The light beam L emitted by a semiconductor laser 1 is collimated by a collimator lens 2 into nearly parallel light, which is reflected by the rotary mirror 3. This rotary mirror 3 has its reflecting surface at almost 45 deg. to the rotary shaft of a motor 4 and the light beam which is projected perpendicularly from above is changed in direction by 90 deg. and reflected horizontally. This rotary mirror 3 rotates at a high speed while fitted to the motor 4, so the light beam is scanned in all 360 deg. directions around the rotary shaft 4a of the motor 4. Consequently, the single semiconductor laser 1 and single collimator lens 2 are used to control a laser light emission signal, thereby scanning the light beam to plural positions even when the cost is reduced by decreasing the number of components.
