Abstract

PURPOSE: To safely clean an inner peripheral surface of a sea water supply passage by positioning front and rear traveling parts of a traveling machine in the sea water supply passage by using front and rear supporting arms, running the traveling machine while supporting the machine body with a propeller cylinder and front and rear stretching arms, and removing marine organisms in the passage with an automatic cleaning device. CONSTITUTION: The traveling machine 2 is constituted by joining the front and rear traveling parts 3, 4 to both end parts of the propeller cylinder 5 extending and contracting in the front and rear directions respectively via front and rear adjustable joints 6, 7. Plural guide arms 10, 11 traveling back and forth and being in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the sea water supply passage 8 are projectingly provided radiately in all directions from the front and rear traveling parts 3, 4. Further, the front and rear stretching arms 13, 14 being freely extending/contracting are projectingly provided radiately in all directions toward the inner peripheral surface of the passage 8 from the front and rear traveling parts 3, 4. Moreover, a drive controller 17 repeats running cycles by extension and contraction of both the cylinder 5 and arms 13, 14, and the automatic cleaning device 18 removes the marine organisms stuck to the inner peripheral surface of the passage 8. Thus, the inner peripheral surface of the sea water supply passage can be safely and efficiently cleaned.
