Abstract
PURPOSE:To settle the correction width of the ignition timing constantly within a specific scope even though there are some unevenness of engines, changes with the timing and the like by correcting and controlling the ignition timing making the correction amount computed from the peak crank angle position, and a learning value as a standard. CONSTITUTION:In a control unit 11, the ignition timing is controlled by a correction amount found from the deflection between the peak crank angle position which is computed depending on the basic ignition timing found from the correction condition of an engine 1 and the detecting signals from the cylinder inner pressure sensor 10 and a crank angle sensor 8; and a learning value. In this case, as the learning value, the correction amount is applied when the computing time of the correction amount and the ignition executing time depending on the correction amount are in the same load and rotation area, the feeding air-fuel ratio is controlled to the object air-fuel ratio in these times, and the peak crank angle position is almost in the object crank angle position, being in a stable condition. In such a way, even though there are some unevenness of engine 1 and the like, some changes with the time, and the like, the control width of the ignition timing is settled in a specific scope constantly.
