Abstract
PURPOSE:To make a rotary machine in a compact size by providing a dynamic pressure generating groove between a sliding member between a rotor and a fixed member and a fixed shaft to bear thrust radial load, and detachably fitting an energy conversion operating member to the rotor. CONSTITUTION:A driving stator coil 6, a partition wall 2 and a fixed shaft 3 are disposed on a casing 1, a magnet 5 is provided on a rotor 4 rotatably mounted on the fixed shaft 3, and a rotating energy conversion operating member 10 is fixed to the outer peripheral portion of the rotor through a connecting mechanism 11. Further, a ceramic sliding member 8 having a spiral dynamic pressure generating groove is interposed between the rotor 4 and the casing 1, and a herring-bone dynamic pressure generating groove 9 is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the fixed shaft 3 or the fitting surface of the rotor 4 corresponding thereto. Accordingly, stable superhigh speed operation can be accomplished, and maintenance and safety can be facilitated, and the machine can be made in a compact size.
