Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent snow from lying on a wire and to improve work efficiency of removing fins from the wire by forming fins projecting outward on both sides of a covering layer of the wire and forming a ripping groove at the base of the fin in the longitudinal direction. CONSTITUTION:At positions 180 deg. apart from each other on the surface of a covering layer 2 covering a stranded wire conductor 1 are formed fins 3 by projecting a part of the layer 2 outward. A recess-shaped ripping groove 4 is formed at the base of the fin 3 along the longitudinal direction. When performing the connection work of a wire W, the fins 3 can be easily removed by separating them at the groove 4 and extending them in the longitudinal direction. In this way, even if snow lies on the wire, rotation of the cable is restricted by the presence of the fins 3 and as a result the snow is prevented from further accumulating. In the case the fins 3 are to be removed, the ripping work is made easy by the presence of the groove 4. In this way, the accumulation of the snow on the wire is prevented from growing and at the same time the removal work of the fins can be performed simply and efficiently.
