Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it a protective device of a simple and reliable AC-DC con verter, by detecting the service interruption of an AC power system in detecting higher harmonic voltage distortion of a specified degree. CONSTITUTION:A voltage type self-excited AC-DC converter 3 to which a secon dary battery 2 is connected is linked to a system 1 through a linkage breaker 4 and an upper breaker 5. A meter transformer 7 is provided to a system link age point 6, on the secondary side of which a detection device 8 is provided to detect the service interruption of the system 1 and to send out an output signal on the condition that the higher harmonic voltage distortion of a specified degree and this detected value exceeds the set point. When a controlling device 9 inputs the signal from the detection device 8, it stops the voltage type self-ex cited AC-DC converter 3 and trips the linkage breaker 4.
