Abstract

PURPOSE:To restrain a surge voltage, by a method wherein the charging charge of a capacitor, charged by a DC power source, is fed back to the DC power source through an auxiliary switching element or the like utilizing a resonance with a choke coil. CONSTITUTION:A single-transistor forward type switching regulator is constituted of a main switching element or a field effect transistor (FET) Q1, a transformer T1, a driving transformer T2, a snubber circuit 10, a drive control circuit 15 and the like. The snubber circuit 10 is constituted of a capacitor C1, first and second diodes D1, D2, a choke coil L1 and the FET Q2 of an auxiliary switching element while the capacitor C1 is charged by the first diode D1 to a voltage higher than a DC power source voltage and the charging charge thereof is fed back to the DC power source by the second diode D2. According to this method, the rise-up of the impressing voltage of the FET Q1 upon turn- off may be slowed down.
