Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the fluctuation of a DC voltage and eliminate the delay of response of pulse width modulating control, by a method wherein the magnitude of a modulating input signal, inputted into a converter unit in accordance with the DC voltage of a load or the commanding value thereof, is made variable. CONSTITUTION:A converter unit CNV, effecting pulse width modulating control, is interposed between a single-phase AC power source SRC and a load RL. A DC capacitor Cd is connected between the positive and negative terminals of the load RL while a DC voltage Vd is outputted from voltage dividing resistors R1, R2, connected in parallel to the DC capacitor Cd. The magnitude of a modulating input signal, inputted into the converter unit CNV, may be changed in accordance with the DC voltage Vd or a DC voltage commanding value.
