Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate friction on abutting units, elongate the life of members and increase movement converting efficiency, by a method wherein a rotary disc is pushed by a small amount to rotate it through permanent magnets, repelled with each other by the displacements of lamination type piezoelectric elements. CONSTITUTION:An one-direction clutch 3 is fitted to one end of a rotary shaft 1 and, further, a rotary disc 4 is fitted to the outer periphery of the one-direction clutch 3. Abutting surfaces 5 are provided in the rotary disc 4 while lamination type piezoelectric elements 6 are opposed to the abutting surfaces 5. When the lamination type piezoelectric elements 6 and displaced by the elongation thereof, the abutting surfaces 5 of the rotary disc 4 are pushed through permanent magnets 8a, 8b under repelling relation to rotate the rotary shaft 1 by a small amount through the one-direction clutch 3 whereby the rotary shaft 1 may be rotated by repeating this cycle successively.
