Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the quick advance immediately after the start of an engine by detecting the operation of a brake pedal and allowing the start of the engine only when it is detected. CONSTITUTION:The starting system of an engine is constituted of an ignition switch 1 and a starter motor 2 operated when the ignition switch 1 is turned on. A detecting means 3 detecting the operation of a brake pedal is provided. An engine start prohibiting means 4 allowing the start of the engine only when the detecting means 3 inputs a detection signal is provided. The start of the engine is thereby allowed only when the brake pedal is operated, and the quick advance immediately after the start of the engine is prevented.
