Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the titled film effective for growing crops, showing excellent repelling effects of ultraviolet rays reflected by a compound oxide on insect pests of cultivated crops, having excellent transmission of visible light, by making a thermoplastic polymer composition blended with a specific compound oxide into a film. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic polymer composition such as low-density polyethylene or ethylene-butene-1 copolymer blended with a compound oxide which is shown by the formula (n is 0 or positive integer) and 1-15wt.% component analyzed as TiO2 is made into a film by coprecipitation film forming method having two kinds three layers dies or two kinds three layers dies or by bonding or piling two or more films of separately formed thermoplastic polymer layers whose inner faces or an inner and an outer faces are provided with transparent thermoplastic layers and heat sealing. The film is usable for covering house and tunnel or for mulching for crop cultivating land and shows preventing effects on flying of cockroaches by reflection of ultraviolet rays at a specific wavelength.
