Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an emulsion type cosmetic having excellent emulsion stability, shelf stability, utility, touch after application and moisture retention, by blending pyroglutamic acid type peptide with sodium type bentonite, an oily substance and water. CONSTITUTION:An emulsion type cosmetic obtained by blending 0.1-5wt.% compound shown by formula I [R is H, CN3, (CH3)2CH-, CH3CH(OH)-, benzyl, group shown by formula II, HOOCCH2- or H2NOCCH2-; n is 1-5; M is H or alkali metal] with 0.1-5wt.% (preferably 0.5-4.0wt.%) Na type bentonite containing 100-160mg/100g cation-exchanging Na ion, 15-50wt.% oily substance (e. g. fats and oils, wax or hydrocarbon) and 50-90wt.% water. The cosmetic is stable and does not change fragrance even after long-term preservation, has moisture, a refreshing feeling and high safety to the skin.
