Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the generation of noise and vibration and to improve durability, by a method wherein a bin moving speed is inversely proportionally varied according to a distance difference between final bins, spaced awaymost from each other, of a plurality of bins selected from bins situated in a sheet collecting position. CONSTITUTION:Bins 4a-4n are orderly moved to a sheet 1 collecting port in a state to maintain a given bin distance (t) specified by link members 5a-5n in linkage with raising and lowering of a transmission member 6. Thus, a distance difference M between bins A in a subsequent place selected from bins B in a preceding place situated in a sheet collecting position is determined by a formula of M=(A-B)t. In this case, a bin moving speed T is determined by a formula of T=(A-B)t/tau, wherein tau is a sheet discharge distance time. Namely, by inversely proportionally varying a bin moving speed, noise and vibration generated during movement of bins is reduced without moving bins at an unnecessarily high speed, and in, for example, a sorter having a bin return process, the frequently used moving speed of bins near bins in a starting place can be sharply reduced.
