Abstract

PURPOSE: To decrease the number of necessary power sources and simplify a circuit by switching the polarity of a heater voltage with the scan signal of a fluorescent display tube. CONSTITUTION: Transistors(TR) 5 and 7 for heater driving turn on and off alternately with the scan signal outputted by a logic part 3. When the TR 5 turns on, a TR 6 turns on through a resistance, and a current flows through the TR 6, a heater, and the TR 5, so that the heater turns on. When the TR 7 turns on, a current flows through a TR 4, the heater, and the TR 7. When the left half of the fluorescent display tube 1 is scanned, the heater voltage is applied so that the left end of the heater is a plus electrode and when the right half of the fluorescent display tube 1 is scanned, the heater voltage is so applied that the right end of the heater is a plus electrode. Consequently, the driving circuits are decreased and the circuit is simplified.
