CONSTITUTION: A switching means 14 switches a picture signal which is image- processed on the inputting side of the picture to be checked, and a picture processing means 17 processes the signal of the picture to be checked and corrected data which is stored. A counting means 19 counting the number of picture processing times for correcting the illuminating unevenness of the picture to be checked, and a control means 20 controlling a picture selection means 12, the switching means and the counting means 19 are provided. Corrected data which is generated from a correcting picture 11 is generated at every processing of a group of the picture to be checked, and the lighting unevenness of the picture to be checked is corrected by using corrected data which is stored. Consequently, the correcting picture processing time can be reduced. Thus, the whole picture processing time of the picture to be checked can be shortened and the picture processing efficiency of the continuous picture to be checked can be improved.
