Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize various communication functions by means of simple operation by omitting a user information storage part from a facsimile equipment main body part, and providing user only information for an IC card.
CONSTITUTION: The IC care 17 is provided with a controller(CPU) 16 as a first control means controlling a non-volatile EEPROM 12 for user only information storage which stores user only information, and writing or reading user only information. A control part 26 provided in the equipment main body part 72 as a second control means cooperatively operates with the CPU 16 through a reader writer part 18, and controls the writing and reading of user only information with respect to the EEPROM 12, reads user common information from the user information storage part 20 and controls the whole equipment main body 72. With operating the keys of a panel surface in an operation part 10, instruction signals corresponding to respective keys are transmitted to the control part 26 through a data bus 40 so as to execute operation. Thus, operation is made simple and the facsimile equipment main body part is prevented from being enlarged.
