Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the title composition excellent in flexibility, ozone resistance, solvent resistance, crack propagation resistance and applicability and useful as a sealing material for vapor of an aromatic liquid, by mixing an oil-resistant and chemical-resistance synthetic rubber with a liquid fluoroelastomer, precipitated barium sulfate and a diamine vulcanizer.
CONSTITUTION: 90W95pts.wt. oil-resistant and chemical resistant synthetic rubber (A) such a vinylidene fluoride/hexafluoropropylene/tetrafluoroethylene terpolymer (A) is mixed with 3W10pts.wt. liquid fluoroelastomer (B) (e.g., Viton LM), 10W30 pts.wt. precipitated barium sulfate (C) of a particle diameter of 0.2W5μ, 1W5pts. wt. diamine vulcanizer (D) and, optionally, carbon black, magnesium oxide, a low-MW PE or the like, each in a suitable amount, and the mixture is mixed to form a dispersion.
