Abstract

PURPOSE: To precisely convert an acoustic signal into an electric signal under strong wind by providing plural and small holes in a microphone cover, converting the frequency component of wind noise to high band and removing the frequency component in a low pass filter.
CONSTITUTION: The microphone cover 5 consists of an internal cover 6 covering a microphone 1 and an external cover 7 covering the internal cover 6. Plural and small holes 11 are formed on the side of the external cover 7, and plural and small holes 12 are formed on the side of the internal cover 6 too. Furthermore, plural and small holes 13 are formed on the base of the external cover 7, and plural and small holes 14 on the base of the internal cover 6. With the microphone cover in which the holes 11 and 12 are provided, the frequency component of wind noise is converted to high, and the frequency component of wind noise which has been converted to high is removed by the low pass filter 10. Thus, wind noise can be prevented from occurring with respect to winds from any directions, and a water-proof function can be obtained with respect to rain.
