Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a bathing agent containing a carbonate and a polycarboxylic acid as an acid component, effective in promoting the blood flow by the generated carbon dioxide gas and having excellent effect to keep moisture and prevent the formation of scale and the staining of a bath heater. CONSTITUTION:The objective agent is produced by using a carbonate in combination with a polycarboxylic acid, e.g. homopolymer or copolymer of (meth)acrylic acid, arginic acid or CMC. A unique effect which cannot be attained by conventional foamable bathing agent can be added by the moisture-retainability of the polymer and the chelating effect of the produced polycarboxylic acid salt. Furthermore, a bathing agent having various effects can be produced by adding an enzyme (protease active at 30-50 deg.C), vitamins, seaweed extract (extract of green algae and brown algae), aromatic drug, herb drug and refreshing agent to the above bathing agent.
