Abstract

PURPOSE:To sort limestone raw material for CaCO3 having high purity by cleaving rich half-crushed limestone after heating, by classifying into coarse grain, medium grain and fine grain, by sorting medium grain as product from these grains and by treating by the same treatment system without treating by another treatment system and water washing process. CONSTITUTION:After crushing mined limestone into below medium grain of about tens mm, the medium grain limestone is heated at 200-700 deg.C in a rotary heating equipment and a heating equipment equipped with a moving device. Then, the heated limestone is cleaved into crystalline unit by using a cleaving equipment which can give thermal shock by qenching and dynamic shock by falling etc. Thereafter, the cleaved limestone grain is screened into coarse, medium and fine grain with a vibrating screen, rotary screen, etc., having mesh giving medium grain limestone having the most high purity. In this case, the mesh is decided on the basis of the data obtd. by investigating grade classified by grain size, so that the purity of the medium grain becomes maximum according to the particle diameter of crystalline particle composing the limestone.
