Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a heat insulating box for refrigerator, showcase, or the like, comprising an outer box forming an outer shell, an inner box made by vacuum molding a sheet of a high impact resistance ABS resin and a sheet of a high heat resistance ABS resin, and a heat insulating material such as foamed polyurethane, injected between the inner box and the outer box. CONSTITUTION: An inner box 4 is vacuum molded using a sheet having a high rigidity vinyl chloride resin layer 6 and an ABS resin layer 7 mixed with low cost filler, e.g. calcium carbonate or talc, wherein the layer 6 is provided on the heat insulating material 5 side while being bonded thereto in order to keep rigidity of the inner box 4. The layer 7 is provided on the inside of a refrigerator in order to protect the inner box 4 against deformation or crack even upon abutting against foods.
