Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a supersonic motor compact, by supporting a vibration chip vibratably on a motor body and providing a plurality of supersonic vibration elements for producing different bilateral vibrations independently. CONSTITUTION:A pillar supporting section 12 is projected from the inner face of bottom wall of a hollow motor body 11, and proper number of cantilever vibration chips 13 projecting to the opposite sides are secured to the base of the supporting section 12. Small chips 14 projecting to one side are formed integrally at the tips of respective vibration chips 13 and supersonic vibration elements 15, 16 are mounted on the base so as to produce bending vibration and torsional vibration. Furthermore, a rotor 18 is inserted rotatably over a screw 17 tightened to the supporting section 12, and a contact ring portion 18a contactable with the upper face at the tip of respective vibration chips 13 is formed at the outer circumferential edge. A hollow output shaft 20 is mounted on the upper face of the rotor. When vibration phases of respective vibration elements 15, 16 are regulated, rotary direction and speed of the rotor 18 can be controlled.
