Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable reproduction through random selection of languages by providing first and second memory groups a random number generation circuit selecting and reading one information from the first memory group at random, and a delay circuit starting the read-out of the first memory group after the lapse of a specified time from the time when an input to a microphone is made. CONSTITUTION: When a voice of a user is put out to a microphone 1 at a front part of this talking doll, a voltage is generated in an output of the microphone 1, and when it is amplified and detected, a pulse of non-constant width is led out to a delay circuit 4. A clock generator 5 and a counter 6 start their operations simultaneously with the ON-operation of a power source, and when a counter 6 is reset by a signal delayed by 3 to 5 seconds, counting is stopped, then a decimal random number is outputted to a decorder output. Accordingly, the output of counter/decorder 6 performes address designation to a first memory group 8 to select and read one ROM from the first memory group at random. Short languages are stored in the first memory group 8, and these languages are started in their reproduction through the random selection after the lapse of time periods of 3 to 5 seconds from the time when a voice input to the microphone 1 is started.
