Abstract

PURPOSE:To efficiently execute the uniform bluing treatment of long-sized steel products by putting the steel products continuously into a fluidized bed of high-temp. fluid particles in a fluidized bed furnace and passing the steel products continuously in the fluidized bed, then drawing-out the steel products continuously. CONSTITUTION:The band- or wire-shaped long-sized steel products A are continuously introduced from an introducing port 11 of the fluidized bed furnace 10 and are continuously put into the fluidized bed 17 of the inside part thereof. This fluidized bed 17 is formed by diffusing and feeding the gas such as air which is introduced from a feed port 14 and is delivered from a discharge port 16 through a diffusion plate 15 into the furnace to fluidize the fluid particles heated by a heater (not shown) to a high temp. The steel products A are continuously passed through above-mentioned bed 17. The steel products A are heated to about max. 350-400 deg.C within about 5 seconds during this time. The steel products A are thereafter delivered continuously from a leading- out port 1 of the furnace 10 and is cooled at need by a cooler 20, etc., down to the above-mentioned temp. or below. The entire surface of the steel products A is thereby colored uniformly blue.
