Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a large energy and reduce the heating of a magnet type generator by full-wave-rectifying the output of a capacitor charging coil and broviding a current cutoff circuit cutting off the current if the short circuit current reaches the preset value when this output is short-circuited. CONSTITUTION:An ignition device is constituted of a capacitor charging coil 101, a magnet type generator 101 containing a timing sensor 102 generating the ignition signal and a rotor 103, an ignition circuit unit 200, and an ignition coil 300. The ignition circuit unit 200 is constituted of a charge rectifying diode 11, an ignition capacitor 12, an ignition thyristor 13, and a circuit triggering this thyristor 13. The ignition circuit unit 200 is also provided with a full-wave rectifying circuit 201 full-wave-rectifying the AC output of the capacitor charging coil 101 and a cutoff circuit 202 containing a transistor 5 practically cutting off the full-wave rectified output and cutting off the current when the short circuit current reaches the preset value.
