Abstract
PURPOSE:To make a spring constant and increase the spring constant in the direction perpendicular to an axis by providing a recessed part which projects inward in the radial direction at least in one place in the circumferential direction in the middle part in the longitudinal direction of an outer cylinder and filling the recessed part with an elastic body. CONSTITUTION:A rubber elastic body 12 is bounded to the outer periphery of an inner cylinder 11 of a rigid material, and an outer cylinder 13 of a rigid material is fixed to the outer periphery of the rubber elastic body 12 by means of bonding, etc. And, a recessed part 14 which projects out in the radial direction is provided in the middle part in the longitudinal direction of the outer cylinder and the recessed part 14 is completely filled with a rubber elastic body 15 of the same material as that of the rubber elastic body 12, with its outer surface being smoothly connected to the part of the outer cylinder 13 other than the recessed part 14. Hence, a spring constant in the direction perpendicular to an axis can be increased while making the spring constant always constant, preventing the captioned rubber vibration isolator from coming off of a rigid sleeve 19.
