Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce friction and improve durability by making a line segment connecting the crossing positions of the cords of an air sleeve reinforcing layer in a circumferential direction nearly parallel to a fold-back edge, in an installation posture in which the axes of a piston and an outer cylinder have a crossing angle. CONSTITUTION:The small diameter side end part of a flexible taper shaped air sleeve 11 having an air sleeve reinforcing layer formed with a cord layer in which cords of nylon, etc., are arranged bias is diagonally cut off. And, its large diameter side end part is airtightly linked to an outer cylinder 13 while the small diameter side end part which is in an inwardly folded back condition is also airtightly linked to a piston 12, and a line segment A-A which connects the crossing positions of cords 17 in the circumferential direction of the air sleeve 11 is made parallel to a line segment B-B along a fold-back edge. Hence, the generation of a wrinkle on a fold-back part can be prevented improving durability, reducing friction, and sufficiently absorbing vibration.
