Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the judgment of the quality of a laser beam objective, by showing various analysis data on the distribution chart of the cross sectional intensity of the laser beam at orthogonal two axes. CONSTITUTION:The intensity of a laser beam at two orthogonal axes in the cross sectional circle of the laser beam is detected by the rotation of wire in an intensity detector 3. Signals from the intensity detector 3 and a power meter 5 are imparted into a personal computer 1 through an AD converter. The personal computer 1 displays the signals on the graph on a screen 1a. Thus, the pattern of the laser beam can be observed. A flatness rate and an output fluctuation rate are operated in the personal computer 1. The results are displayed together with operation reference data on the right side of the graph. Knowledge data for an expert system are stored in a recovery knowledge memory device 9. When an operator judges the defect of the laser beam on the screen, the operator operates the keyboard of the personal computer 1 and can retrieve the knowledge data.
