Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain recording good in dot reproducibility even at high speed recording and imparting sharpness and high density, by constituting a support, to which a thermal color forming layer is provided, if plastic film laminated paper. CONSTITUTION:This thermal recording paper is formed by providing a thermal color forming layer to a support wherein a plastic film is laminated to base paper or coat paper. The plastic film to be used is composed of polyester, polyamide, an ionomer, an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer, polyethylene, polystyrene, polyvinylidene chloride or polyvinyl chloride and the paper support to be used pref. has higher smoothness of 150 sec or more, especially, 300 sec more as Beck smoothness. Since the smoothness of the support is raised, this thermal recording paper has the good dot reproducibility in a low density region and high color forming sensitivity and gives specially excellent effect in performing halftone recording.
