Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate magnetization of a cathode-ray tube suitably by providing a degaussing circuit supplying a degaussing current to a degaussing coil by an output of a detection means. CONSTITUTION:A television receiver main body 5 is rotated to move a photocoupler component 9, then the optical path P of the photocoupler 9 is shut by a shield plate 8a on the way of movement, a phototransistor(TR) Q0 of the photocoupler circuit 14 is turned off and a 1st TR Q1 is also turned off. Thus, a charging current flows to a capacitor C1 from a power terminal +Vcc via a resistor R3 and reverse-current preventing diode (1st diode) D1 to turn on the 2nd TR Q2 having been so far turned off. Then a relay RL1 is energized, a degaussing current flows to the degaussing coil 15 to apply degaussing. Thus, the magnetization of the cathode-ray tube 17 caused due to the rotation of the television receiver main body 15 is eliminated suitably.
