Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent increase of weight and to improve durability, by a method wherein a belt formed by a ply, formed by coating a carbon fiber cord with coating rubber having given performance, and a ply made of an aromatic polyamide fiber cord, is located between a carcass and a tread. CONSTITUTION:A belt 4 formed by first and second plies 5 and 6 and by returning the second ply in a manner to wrap the cut end of the first ply 5 with the second ply 6 is located between a carcass 2 and a tread 3. The first ply 5 is formed by coating a carbon fiber cord with coating rubber having 100% modulus of 30-80kg/cm<2>. The second ply 6 is formed such that coating is applied, in a similar manner described in the first ply 5, on an aromatic polyamide fiber cord, e.g. kepler. Arrangement is made such that a cord of the second ply 6 crosses a cord of the first ply 5. This constitution enables improvement of durability as weight is prevented from increase.
