Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a leaf vegetable finishing device capable of efficiently removing bad lower leaves and withered leaves from leaf vegetables such as spinach and Brassica campestris L. without damaging the leaf vegetables themselves, by providing a box with a pair of acting members with a specific structure, being rotated and driven. CONSTITUTION:A pair of acting members are set in parallel at a small gap S in the interior of a box 1 of acting part provided with an inlet 2 for leaf vegetable at the top and an outlet 3 for removed leaves at the bottom and a pair of the acting members are rotated in such a way that the upper parts thereof move in the direction of the gap S between the member 2. A pair of the acting members consist of shaft rods 4 and 5, a pair of discs 8 and 9; 10 and 11 opposingly set at gaps between the shaft rods and the discs and cord pieces 12 and 13 of elastic material which are stretched at the outer peripheral parts of a pair of the discs in parallel with the shaft rods 4 and 5.
