Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate the separation of fatty acid and to obtain a lysophospholipid having immunoenhancing action, etc., without loss, decreasing energy consumption, by adding water to phospholipid, reacting the lipid in the presence of a phospholipase A enzyme and adding acetone to the reaction mixture. CONSTITUTION:In the hydrolysis of a phospholipid with phospholipase A enzyme, 1pt.wt. of the phospholipid (e.g. soybean lecithin) is mixed with 0.1-0.5pts.wt. of water and a small amount of phospholipase A enzyme, the mixture is stirred to disperse the water and the components are made to react at 50 deg.C for 8hr. After the completion of the reaction, 8.5-80pts.wt. of acetone (based on 1pt.wt. of water in the reaction product) is added to the reaction mixture to dissolve and remove neutral fat and fatty acid, etc. The objective lysophospholipid is separated and recovered from the acetone-insoluble fraction.
