Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition, by blending a 1,1-oxybis(2,3,3,3- tetrachloropropane) which is a synergistic agent of an insecticide with a diethyl- m-toluamide which is an insert pest repellent and adding an organic solvent or/and surfactant thereto. CONSTITUTION:The titled composition, obtained by blending 1,1-oxybis(2,3,3,3- tetrachloropropane) with diethyl-m-toluamide as active ingredients and an organic solvent, such as kerosene, butanol, acetophenone, ethyl acetate, ethylene glycol, cresol or dimethylformamide, or/and a surfactant (selected from nonionic, anionic, cationic and ampholytic surfactants) and prepared so as to provide <=50 dynes/cm surface tension of either the blend or an emulsion diluted with water to 0.1% concentration. The above-mentioned formulated concentrate is contained and immobilized in fibrous substrates of various dosage forms. The composition has high safety and excellent repellent effects.
