Abstract

PURPOSE:To maintain stable satellite communication by jointly using a transmitting AFC system and a receiving AFC system for a satellite repeater and a transmitting AFC system for a slave station. CONSTITUTION:A base station 1 receives a transmission pilot signal 5 by satellite return, measures the frequency variation of the satellite repeater 2, corrects the transmission frequency of its self-station and transmits the measured result to respective slave stations 3, 4 as control information through a satellite line 6. Consequently, respective slave stations execute transmission AFC. In addition, each slave station transmits a signal obtained by correcting the frequency deviation of the repeater 2 on the basis of the AFC control information. Its receiving signal 8 is converted into a base band signal by a demodulation part 12 to correct the frequency variation of a receiving frequency converting local oscillator. At the time of converting the frequency of a transmission signal in each slave station by a transmitting frequency converting part 17, the frequency deviation of a transmitting local oscillator is added.
