Abstract

PURPOSE:To stablly improve a high voltage regulator by providing a high frequency attenuation circuit to the primary side of a flyback transformer, and connecting a coil and a capacitor to the primary side of a saturable transformer that forms said attenuation circuit. CONSTITUTION:The high frequency attenuation circuit inserted in series to the primary windings of the flyback transformer 6 consists of the primary inductance of the saturable transformer 11, a capacitor 8, and a resistor 9. The saturable transformer 11 is controlled with the DC component of a source current corresponding to a high-voltage load. In case a high-voltage output load increases, the inductance of a resonance circuit is made smaller so that no resonance occurs and that the peak of a flyback transformer output waveform extends. In case of reduction in load, the inductance is made larger, and the resonance is encouraged to attenuate high frequency components, so that the level of output peak waveform comes lower. In such a way, the high voltage regulation can be stablly improved.
