Abstract
PURPOSE: To attain the uniform irradiation of a light beam across a wide area by wiring a light scattering body obtained by integrating a light source, light transmitting body, and light scattering body whose surface has a light scattering face in a light beam irradiation area in a photosynthesis reaction chamber. CONSTITUTION: A light transmitting body 1 which transmits a light emitted from a light source B to an arbitrary direction is integrated with a light scatting body 3 whose surface has a light scattering face constituted of a linear transparent body optically connected with the light transmitting body 1, and one or more than two light scattering bodies 3 are wired in a light beam irradiation area in a photosynthesis reaction chamber. When a light beam is inputted to an axial direction from one end of the linear transparent body made of materials equivalent to a core 5 such as high light transmissive plastic or quartz glass used for an optical fiber cable 4, or the core 5 of the optical fiber cable 4, the light is scattered from the peripheral face due to the transmission loss of the materials during the transmission of the light. Thus, the array and combination of the light scattering bodies can be freely selected, uniform light beam irradiation can be attained to a stereoscope and a plane, and this device is available to a spot light with a necessary size.
