Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a lens adjusting mechanism and to adjust focal length finely by providing a lens adjusting screw outside the lens adjusting mechanism and moving a lens according to the movement of bevel gears, spur gears, and a worm gear which are added to the screw. CONSTITUTION:When the lens adjusting screw 17 is rotated, for example, clockwise, a bevel gear 18 connected to the knob 17 rotates clockwise and a bevel gear 19 rotates counterclockwise accordingly. A spur gear 20 connected to the bevel gear 19 rotates counterclockwise similarly and a spur gear 21 which contacts it rotates clockwise. Consequently, the worm gear 22 connected to the spur gear 21 rotates clockwise and a claw 23 for movement moves in the long-axis direction of the worm gear 22. Namely, a plastic lens 16 itself moves forth and back integrally with the claw 23 for movement. Consequently, the lens adjusting mechanism itself is reduced in size and the moving length of the lens is made long to adjust the focal length finely.
