Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain the communication only with a space propagation light by using an optical pulse signal with different pulse frequency in response to a signal value as a space propagation optical signal to be sent and transmitting the optical pulse signal of the same form as the reception in a repeater. CONSTITUTION:Devices 31-3n including a host computer 4 are arranged in the same room and optical signal reception adaptors 61-6n are connected to them. Adaptors 61-6n have a reception circuit provided with a photodetector 8 and a transmission circuit provided with a light emitting element 7 respectively. A repeater 2 is fitted to the ceiling 1 and the light emitting/receiving element for the transmission/reception of an optical signal are provided. The transmission circuit sends an optical pulse signal whose pulse frequency is made different in response to the data signal value. On the other hand, the repeater 2 sends immediately the received optical signal without modifying the signal form. Thus, the devices are formed to be the n:n communication system able to be communicated among them via the repeater 2.
