Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain mold release sheets for ceramic products which can prevent ceramic base plates from fusing each other and from carburizing from graphite slabs, by dispersing a boron nitride powder in combustible sheets. CONSTITUTION:The subject sheet is obtained by dispersing a powder of boron nitride in a combustible sheet such as a paper or plastic sheet. The sheets leaving reduced amounts of ash residue are preferred as the combustible sheet. As a plastic, are cited thermoplastic resins or thermosetting resins. The content of the boron nitride powder is preferably 40-90wt.%. Less than 40wt.% of boron nitride powder is insufficient to prevent fusion and carburization, while over 90wt.% increases the difficulty of producing the mold release sheets of good handleability. The purity of the boron nitride is preferably over 80wt.%, because the contaminants lowers the releasability.
