Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce a load on a control valve by moving a coupling pin between an engaging recess formed on an adjacent rocker arm and a supporting body provided separately from the rocker arm. CONSTITUTION:A control valve device is formed with an engaging recess 30 which cooperates through a cylindrical part 17 provided in one body on a base of the second rocker arm 8 and the first rocker arm 7. A supporting body 21 opposite to a side of the first rocker arm 7 is pivotally supported on a rocker shaft 6. The rocker arms 7, 8 are changed over in their coupling by moving a coupling pin 22 between the engaging recess 30 and the supporting body 21. Thus the coupling pin can be arranged near a supporting shaft to lighten a load on the control valve.
