Abstract

PURPOSE:To make positioning accurate by moving the positioning reference plate for the printing of a 2nd surface in a device which feeds a sheet of paper on the basis of the center of the sheet material to a position corresponding to form size, and making the sheet-material side surface abut on the reference plate. CONSTITUTION:When both sides are printed, the sheet material is guided to a both-sided conveyance path 19 by a reversible roller 17 and a flapper 16. At this time, a form size discrimination member provided to a cassette 1 is detected by a main body detecting device and a lateral registration plate 10 is moved by a cam 13 previously on a guide plate 30 to the position matching with the form size. Then the sheet material is conveyed by oblique feed rolls 11 and 12 slanted by an angle alpha to the form traveling direction while made to abut on the flank of a lateral registration groove part, thus completing the lateral registration. Therefore, the lateral positioning of the sheet material is made accurate.
