Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a protector which covers wire harness surely by furnishing a hollow supporting means in contact with the wire harness partially, placing the wire harness in a die, and covering with resin solidly with the hollow supporting means. CONSTITUTION:A protector 26 has three-dimensional form in correspondence to places where wiring is planned and is shaped solidly with a harness 10. The completed protector 26 is covered over the total circumference of the harness 10 completely through resin and ring 12, and the surface 28 of covered part of protector 26 is so arranged as apart at all times from the surface 30 of the harness throughout its length. Thus any tool etc., approaching from outside does not touch the harness 10 and therefore not cause damage. As the ring 12 is exposed to outside partially, it can serve as a mark for wiring. Further the ring 12 as hollow supporting means itself is short in the axial direction, so that there is no restriction due to the shape of the place where wiring is planned.
