Abstract
PURPOSE:To control noise generated from a pantograph by arranging windshield bodies a little thicker than a pantograph shoe before and behind said pantograph shoe moving up and down following an aerial line. CONSTITUTION:Both tips of arms on both sides of a balance 4 are fitted with two bar windshield bodies 9 composed of lightweight and highly rigid insulators each a little thicker than a pantograph shoe so that said windshield bodies hold the pantograph shoe between them. A slider 10 with abrasion resistance and self-lubricating properties is stuck on the contact surface of the windshield body 9 with an aerial line 1 and the contact force of said contact surface is also made small. The windshield body 9 has a round head and a tail cut to pieces in cross section so that an aerodynamic second is small and air eddy layers are generated from the tail against a high-speed air flow from the front. Further, both tips of the windshield body 9 are fitted with horns 13 turned downward so as not to be caught by an aerial line 1.
