Abstract

PURPOSE:To control noise generated from a pantograph by arranging windshield bodies a little thicker than a pantograph shoe before and behind said pantograph shoe moving up and down following an aerial line. The windshield body 9 has a round head and a tail cut to pieces in cross section so that an aerodynamic second is small and air eddy layers are generated from the tail against a high-speed air flow from the front.
