Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a small-sized, light-weight, regulated DC power supply by forming a voltage regulator in magnetic control type autotransformer structure. CONSTITUTION:A regulated DC power supply 10 has a magnetic control type autotransformer 14, and has a rectifier 13, a DC control power 16, an output voltage detecting section 18, a control circuit 20, and a semiconductor switch circuit 21. Output voltage is compared with reference voltage by an operational amplifier 70, and the control circuit 20 transmits a command over the magnetic control type autotransformer 14 through the semiconductor switch circuit 21 so that output voltage coincides with reference voltage. An output from the semiconductor switch circuit 21 is sent to control windings 30, 32, thus changing an output from the magnetic control type autotransformer 14. Only small current flows through the control windings, and the employment of the autotramsformer reduces the weight of the power supply.
